Hegparts consists of biodegradable oil-removal agents and non-hazardous
naturally-occurring dormant bacteria which are added to the liquid when
it is diluted with water before use. The liquid removes hydrocarbons
and grime from metallic, concrete or other surfaces. The bacteria will
then biodegrade the toxic hydrocarbons & other organic chemicals into
harmless by-products - thus greatly extending the useful life of Hegparts
and reducing volumes of liquid for disposal.
BENEFITS
- A powerful degreaser, with none of the disadvantages of harsh
solvents, caustics or citrus
- Safe to use; biodegradable; improved health and safety at work
- lower environmental impacts
- Contains no phosphates, sulphates, caustics, terpenes, chlorinated
solvents or petroleum products
- Optional bacterial cultures in convenient tablet form; bacteria
are natural and non-pathogenic
- Can biodegrade oil residues, rather than merely remove contamination
from one point to another
- Will not damage rubber or plastic; non-flammable; non-hazardous
- No cumbersome precautions during use; Rinses film-free and without
streaking
- Less than 50 g/litre VOCs in solution as certified by California
South Coast Air Quality District
- Meets US Food Safety & Inspection Service standards in 9 CFR
parts 208, 318 & 381
- Meets criteria in US Presidential Order 13101 guiding US Federal
Agencies to give preference to the purchse of products which pose
fewer burdens on the environment
- Supported by the US Department of Agriculture
APPLICATIONS
Use in ultrasonic parts washers, ordinary dip tanks, pumped circulating-fluid
parts washers
Automotive: Degreaser for use in wash racks and parts washers,
with recovery of waste oil if required
Oilfield operations: Degreasing of casing and drill pipe;
cleansing of heavily greased decks and blocks
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
The standard dilution is 1:4 - one part Hegparts to four parts water.
The bacteria will multiply more quickly if the water is lukewarm.
Effective quantities from concentrate are therefore:
|
10 litre canister:
20 litre canister:
208 litre drum:
|
50 litres parts washing liquid
100 litres parts washing liquid
1040 litres parts washing liquid
|
In practice, you may be able to use weaker dilutions, with greater
economy and equal effectiveness
One tablet of bacterial culture should be added to each batch mixed,
regardless of quantity. The bacteria will multiply to their natural
limit in the volume available. Add a further tablet after 6 - 8 weeks.
Operating temperatures should not exceed 43°C. if bacterial activity
is to be maintained.
